Paul Weller is one of the most intelligent musical artists of all time-as a matter of fact, on world affairs, this guy could give Barack Obama a run for his money. However, Paul's not running for office of any kind (to my knowledge) and his main focus is on making music that lasts. Please listen to The Jam, and the Style Council, courtesy of, Mr. Paul Weller!
When my mother traded in her Mercedes Benz SUV for a more affordable Chrysler Sebring, she was given a questionnaire to fill out and send back in. The stated purpose of this form was a "consumer experience study". Sounds harmless enough, doesn't it? Unfortunately, after going through the first round of questions, a disturbing pattern began to develop...A very right-wing pattern. How about this one:No matter what some people say, Richard Nixon was good president. Huh? Try this one: The gov't's role in people's everyday lives should be as small as possible. The list goes on. What this has to do with owning a car is beyond me, but we thought it'd be good idea to post it on our show-Brent
This is a cultural discussion on the effect of America's views of the world at-large, and the world's understanding of the U.S. Obviously, there's been some strain on our relationship as of late. Blindspot tries to lay out what are some of the causes of that strain and how we can build a path to a more productive future.
Here's the latest lineup: All For One - Brand Nubian; We Got The Funk - Beatnuts; Chica Panic Attack - Antonio Birabent; Plastico - Ruben Blades & Willie Colon; Worries In The Dance - Frankie Paul.
Enjoy!

Blindspot focuses on the presidency of George W Bush...With so many failures in this administration, it's hard to know where to start. However, we've started with GitMo Bay, Hurricane Katrina, the Iraq War, and gas prices...There may be a part II, but, these are the most pressing; also, rest in peace Tim Russert--Check it out!
